- *Overview:** The Adjunct Instructor/Education will teach courses within the Education department at Southern Oregon University. This is a part-time, temporary position with a rate of pay ranging from $650 to $750 per ELU, depending on qualifications. **Responsibilities:**The primary responsibility of the Adjunct Instructor/Education is teaching. This includes preparing and delivering courses, advising students, and maintaining office hours. The incumbent may also be responsible for service, including program and institutional administrative, committee, and student support and retention activities. Adjuncts may have the opportunity to supervise student field experiences in elementary or secondary education settings. **Qualifications:**To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the minimum qualifications, which vary depending on the rank of Instructor or Adjunct Assistant Professor. Minimum qualifications include a Master's or terminal degree in the discipline taught or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree in the discipline taught, or a related field, plus equivalency of Master's degree in years of professional experience in the field. Demonstrated teaching potential and familiarity with the appropriate equipment are also required. **Benefits:**This is a temporary, part-time position, and therefore, does not offer benefits.
