Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to telemetry patients, including cardiac monitoring and post-procedure management.
• Manage TR Bands following cardiac procedures with precision and adherence to protocols.
• Administer cardiac drips such as Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, and Cardizem, ensuring accurate dosing and patient safety.
• Participate in the initiation and monitoring of Tikosyn/Sotalol therapy.
• Float across acute care units to support patient care needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to unit-specific schedules, including every other weekend rotation and holiday staffing as required.
Qualifications:
• Current Kansas RN licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year recent telemetry nursing experience, with preferred 2-5 years in telemetry.
• Experience with TR Bands, cardiac drips, and Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (1900-0730) three days per week.
Schedule:
• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three days per week.
• Every other weekend rotation.
• Holiday coverage including Memorial Day and July 4th, per unit needs.
