What You'll Do
As a key member of our analytics department, you will be responsible for leveraging statistical analysis and predictive modeling to provide strategic insights that drive business growth. Here's what your role will entail:
Core Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Insights: Utilize advanced statistical analysis tools and methodologies to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets. Apply rigorous analytical approaches to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that inform business strategy and operational improvements.
- Predictive Modeling: Develop and implement statistical predictive models to forecast future outcomes across various business scenarios. Employ machine learning algorithms, regression analysis, and other advanced techniques to build robust models that support strategic planning and risk assessment.
- Statistical Analysis Execution: Execute statistical and mathematical analyses to support enterprise-wide decision-making. Collaborate with multiple business functions to understand their analytical needs and deliver data-driven solutions that address specific business challenges.
- Algorithm Development: Identify and apply appropriate analytical methods and modeling techniques to assess potential scenarios and future outcomes. Participate in the development of innovative algorithms that solve complex business problems and improve operational efficiency.
- Advanced Data Processing: Apply analytical rigor and sophisticated statistical methods to analyze large volumes of data. Utilize advanced techniques including predictive statistical models, customer profiling, segmentation analysis, survey design and analysis, and data mining to uncover deeper insights.
- Hypothesis Testing: Develop and validate hypotheses through the application of various advanced mathematical, statistical, scientific, and computational methods. This includes probability models, machine learning, data mining, pattern recognition, data visualization, predictive analytics, data warehousing, artificial intelligence, and other complex analytical techniques.
- Documentation: Document all assigned aspects of projects comprehensively, including business objectives, data gathering and processing procedures, methodologies, final algorithms, detailed results, and analytical metrics. Maintain clear and organized documentation for knowledge sharing and compliance purposes.
- Presentation & Communication: Assist with developing materials to explain project findings to stakeholders. Prepare and present interpretations of findings to internal clients, translating complex statistical concepts into business-friendly language that drives action.
- Collaboration: Interact with team members and peers across the organization. Engage with external partners as needed to gather and provide information related to assigned projects, fostering strong working relationships and ensuring project success.
- Issue Escalation: Proactively identify and escalate issues and roadblocks as they occur, ensuring timely resolution and keeping projects on track.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid foundation in analytics, statistical concepts, and mathematical methods. Understanding of analysis techniques and data interpretation methodologies.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in applying statistical methods to real-world business problems and the ability to think critically when approaching complex analytical challenges.
- Travel Capability: Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes, both within the state and out of state, as needed for meetings, training, and project collaboration.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Professional experience with statistical software such as R, Python, SAS, or SPSS.
- Experience with database querying languages (SQL) and big data technologies.
- Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and techniques.
- Previous experience in retail, healthcare, or consumer goods analytics.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
