The role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to take ownership of key general ledger functions, including fixed assets, insurance accounting, and the month-end close process. This role is instrumental in ensuring the integrity of our financial records through comprehensive reconciliations and the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual statements. The ideal candidate is a collaborative professional who can work effectively across diverse functional teams to maintain a smooth finance operating model and drive accuracy throughout the accounting cycle.

Your day-to-day

  1. Take full ownership of the Fixed Asset lifecycle, including recording acquisitions, disposals, and working with cross functional teams to ensure accurate reporting.
  2. Manage the Insurance Accounting manual, maintaining up-to-date documentation and ensuring all insurance-related transactions align with company policy.
  3. Execute all month-end close journal entries with precision, ensuring the general ledger reflects accurate financial positioning.
  4. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing the necessary data and schedules to support corporate reporting.
  5. Perform comprehensive account and bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain the integrity of the balance sheet.
  6. Conduct detailed reconciliations for Fixed Assets and Insurance accounts, bridging the gap between sub-ledgers and the general ledger.
  7. Provide ad-hoc analysis and support to the broader Finance team to drive continuous improvement in accounting workflows.
  8. Work cross-enterprise with diverse functional teams to ensure a smooth finance operating model.

Salary: $105,000 to $125,000*

*Please note that the final salary offered will be determined based on the selected candidate's skills, and experience, as well as the internal salary structure at Quanata.
