RentRedi – Remote
We are looking for a driven Senior Software Engineer with deep experience in Node.js, React, and Firebase RTDB who is obsessed with reliability and customer experience. In this role, your primary mission is to drive production bugs toward zero, relentlessly improve our stability, and ensure that every interaction landlords and tenants have with RentRedi just works.
You will be a key contributor in delighting our customers. Put a smile on their face so that they want to tell their friends about what RentRedi has done for their tenants and properties.
Most independent landlords and renters need tools for the way they actually interact with each other. Many of them are left managing important decisions with systems that feel disconnected, confusing, or simply not built for them. RentRedi is designed to close that gap—bringing clarity and confidence to everyday renting. By strengthening the reliability of our platform, you'll help create an experience that feels intuitive, smart, and gratifying at every interaction.

Have a strong foundation in Node.js + React + Firebase and care deeply about how your code behaves in production, not just in local dev.
Take zero tolerance for recurring bugs and broken experiences—a workaround is not acceptable to you.
Love doing root cause analysis, eliminating classes of issues, and raising the quality bar permanently.
Think in terms of observability (Datadog, Sentry, logs, metrics, traces) and want to see what the system is doing at all times.
Believe that reliability is a core feature.
Improve and maintain monitoring with Datadog, Sentry, and GCP Cloud Logs / Error Reporting.
Design dashboards, alerts, and runbooks so that production behavior is visible, actionable, and predictable.
8+ years of experience in Node.js and React, particularly within serverless environments like Cloud Functions or AWS Lambda.
5+ years experience working with data architecture and design in NoSQL environments, particularly Firebase Realtime Database.
Demonstrated ability to deliver with quality and speed, especially when developing features and resolving bugs in production systems.
Hands-on experience with Datadog, Sentry, and GCP Cloud Logging / Error Reporting or similar observability stacks.
5+ years writing clean code with clear, instructional comments and providing high-quality code reviews that minimize bugs and reduce rework.
Ability to make updates to a large codebase with minimal review, guided by strong testing and observability, without introducing additional bugs.
Driven toward excellence; proactively learns new tools and techniques that improve team efficiency, reliability, and effectiveness.
Comfort collaborating with customer support, product, and design to deeply understand customer pain and prioritize reliability work.
Experience in PropTech, FinTech, and/or payment processing, where reliability and correctness directly impact customer trust and money flows.
