What You Will Be Doing
• Designing and continuously refining an AI-powered learning ecosystem that demonstrably surpasses conventional education, validated by concrete improvements in student performance metrics
• Interacting directly with students via virtual channels to comprehend their learning journeys, obstacles, and achievements, applying these insights to drive ongoing enhancement of the learning ecosystem
• Extracting actionable intelligence from learning platform data and engineering high-impact academic interventions using AI/ML, learning science, and evidence-based motivational strategies
• Cultivating a culture of fearless experimentation and data-informed decision-making, utilizing analytics to achieve breakthrough gains in student growth patterns
• Collaborating with platform engineering, data science, and design teams to convert academic insights and student input into frictionless product improvements
What You Won’t Be Doing
• Wrapping traditional education methods in AI packaging. This is not about digitizing classroom teaching – we are fundamentally rethinking learning from first principles.
• Working with data in a vacuum. You will be required to interact regularly with K-12 students, treating their feedback as critical input from our primary customers.

Senior Instructional Designer Key Responsibilities
Lead innovation in AI-driven, teacher-less education to achieve outstanding student outcomes across multiple campuses. Integrate data analytics with consistent student interaction to continuously refine our learning ecosystem, evaluated through AP exam results and MAP assessment growth.
Basic Requirements
• Master's degree or higher in Educational Science, Learning Science, Psychology, Psychometrics, Instructional Design, or a related field
• Leadership experience in education or EdTech
• Experience applying AI technologies in an educational or professional context
• Experience designing and implementing AI systems for tasks such as content generation, data analysis, or adaptive learning
• Strong understanding of learning science principles and data-driven educational approaches
• Proven ability to communicate complex educational and technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
