What You'll Do
As a Senior Data Analyst at arenaflex, you'll be at the forefront of our data-driven decision-making process. Your primary responsibility will be to provide data-driven answers to complex business questions presented by partners across the organization. You'll serve as a trusted advisor, delivering insights that illuminate our supplier advertising strategies and drive overall business growth.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct Comprehensive Analysis: Lead thorough investigations using advanced analytical techniques to generate data-driven, strategic insights. Develop high-impact solutions and communicate precise results to partners and senior management.
- Strategic Insight Communication: Present findings with clear perspective and compelling observations to ensure your insights can be effectively utilized to drive product strategy and business development initiatives.
- Self-Service Tool Development: Create, distribute, and maintain flexible self-service tools and dashboards that align with broader departmental goals. Enable cross-functional partners to access data independently and identify meaningful insights without requiring analytical support for every request.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a thought partner with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to identify areas of opportunity, define and implement tracking designs for the toolset, and influence prioritization decisions with robust data evidence.
- Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Mentor departmental colleagues on analysis best practices, technical skills, and innovations in our company's data architecture. Contribute to building a culture of data literacy across the organization.
- Strategic Planning Support: Participate in strategic planning sessions and provide analytical support for key business initiatives. Help shape the direction of marketing campaigns, product launches, and customer experience improvements.
- Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all reporting and analysis. Implement best practices for data validation and quality control.
What You'll Need
We're seeking a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is passionate about using data to solve complex business challenges.
Essential Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Economics, or other quantitative and analytically rigorous field is required. Advanced degrees are a plus but not mandatory.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of work experience in a relevant field, preferably in business analysis, strategy, startup/tech, and/or marketing. Experience in e-commerce or retail is highly desirable.
- Analytical Skills: Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail with the capacity to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style based on the audience. Must be able to translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable business recommendations.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong technical aptitude with demonstrated experience using data from a wide range of sources to solve complex problems, tell compelling stories, and impact overall strategy.
Technical Requirements:
- Proficient knowledge of SQL/Eden for database querying and data extraction
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform or similar cloud-based data environments
- Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data visualization
- Knowledge of visualization tools such as Google Data Studio, Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
- Familiarity with A/B testing and statistical analysis methods
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Python programming and Git version control is preferred but not required
- Experience with machine learning concepts and predictive analytics
- Background in supplier advertising or digital marketing analytics
- Understanding of customer journey analytics and attribution modeling
- Experience working with large-scale datasets and big data technologies
