Position Overview: Data Analyst II
arenaflex is currently seeking an experienced Data Analyst II to join our Preparation and Delivery Operations group within the Business Operations team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the execution, optimization, and standardization of our organization's cost and resource allocation models. You will engage in the management, integrity, analysis, and documentation of data that supports our internal operations, the resourcing necessary to deliver our projects, and cost assignments for the organizations we support.

You will build deep relationships across teams, including Global Program Operations, Portfolio, Strategic Planning and Analysis, Finance, and Engineering leadership. Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Insights: Build a comprehensive understanding of costing and resourcing data related to our internal teams and functional partners. Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.
- Process Optimization: Support the coordination of high-speed projects that normalize and enhance financial processes across the organization. Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to streamline operations.
- Business Workflow Support: Support internal business workflows such as vendor costing, workforce management, and resource planning. Ensure accurate data collection and maintenance of critical business processes.
- Reporting & Analytics: Work with multiple data systems and deliver ad-hoc analysis and reports to support business needs, research, emergencies, and resolve metrics-based issues. Create compelling visualizations and dashboards that drive actionable insights.
- Documentation: Document workflows related to key processes, data collection, and maintenance, including tracking important decisions and changes. Maintain comprehensive documentation for knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Collaboration with Technical Teams: Work with Data Architects and system engineers to support documentation and implementations of database designs. Ensure data integrity and accessibility across systems.
- Automation & Scalability: Build strategic decision-making frameworks and write scripts that help us automate and scale our operations. Develop tools and processes that increase team efficiency and reduce manual workloads.
- Executive Communication: Skilled in refining insights from data and synthesizing and creating compelling messaging for executive audiences. Present complex findings in clear, actionable terms.
- Stakeholder Support: Support Planning and Delivery Operations with ad-hoc requests from our partners. Respond quickly and accurately to urgent business needs.
Essential Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in informatics, data analysis, data engineering, or technical fields with demonstrated progression in responsibilities and scope.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Data Science, Statistics, Business Finance/Economics, Informatics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Technical Skills: Experience working with data and data manipulation software such as R, SQL, and Python. Proficiency in building dashboards using tools like Tableau, Looker, Airtable, or Smartsheet.
- Database Knowledge: Understanding of relational database design and functionality. Ability to work with complex data structures and relationships.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated self-starter with strong strategic thinking, unwavering curiosity, and excellent judgment. Ability to approach challenges with creativity and persistence.
- Collaboration: Successful teamwork and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
