Work Schedule and Environment

This is a remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home office. However, all candidates must reside within our designated service territory to be considered for this position. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. Additionally, team members participate in a rotating Saturday schedule, with Saturday hours from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This rotating schedule ensures that our customers receive consistent support throughout the week.

Key Responsibilities

As a Property & Casualty Insurance Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our relationship with existing policyholders. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Policy Review and Retention: Contact policyholders from our existing book of business through inbound and outbound telephone calls, direct mail, and email to review policies prior to renewal. Assess their coverage needs and recommend adjustments to enhance retention and better meet their individual requirements.
  • Customer Consultation: Counsel policyholders concerning appropriate coverage, policy limits, payment options, and state laws that will best meet their needs for sufficient protection against risks covered by Property and Casualty insurance. Make appropriate recommendations and process changes to policies while gaining policyholder acceptance.
  • Inbound/Outbound Calls and Emails: Receive and respond to calls and emails from customers at our insurance service center. Document all activity, including changes to policy, coverage options, recommendations, and cross-selling opportunities, in our EPIC system.
  • Insurance Knowledge Application: Utilize your knowledge of the insurance industry and arenaflex insurance agency policies and procedures to provide efficient and professional customer service. Provide quotes on endorsements as requested by customers.
  • Discount Identification: Identify opportunities to apply discounts to customer policies and process insurance verification forms for insured individuals. Act as a liaison for information exchange between customers and insurance companies.
  • Policy Changes Processing: Process changes to policies within the EPIC system and submit changes to specific insurance companies. Follow up with insurance carriers to ensure change requests have been processed in a timely manner.
  • Claims Assistance: Review policy information and reference company-specific claims procedures to assist insured individuals in filing claims accurately and efficiently.
  • Documentation Management: Mail insured documentation to be signed and returned as necessary. Follow up with members and customers to ensure documentation has been returned in a timely manner.
  • Cross-Selling Opportunities: Recognize cross-sell opportunities for both membership and insurance products. Obtain quote information and present options to customers to expand their relationship with arenaflex.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional customer service.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of increasingly complex customer service experience in an insurance environment.
  • Licensing: Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance license is required for this position. You must be able to maintain this license throughout your employment.
  • Residency: Must live within our designated service territory.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will help you stand out as a candidate:

  • Membership License: Possession of a membership license is preferred, or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
  • EPIC System Experience: Familiarity with EPIC or similar policy management systems is a plus.
  • Multi-line Insurance Experience: Experience with multiple insurance lines beyond Property & Casualty.
