What You'll Do: Make a Direct Impact Every Day
As a Customer Service Representative on our pharmacy team, you'll be the voice of arenaflex to pet parents who trust us with their beloved companions' health needs. This role goes far beyond taking orders or reading scripts – we're looking for engaged problem-solvers who genuinely care about finding the right solutions for each unique situation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Direct Customer Engagement: Communicate professionally and empathetically with pet parents who reach out to arenaflex via inbound phone calls, emails, and other communication platforms. You'll be the first point of contact for customers seeking pharmacy services, prescription assistance, product information, and order support.
- Problem Resolution: Research customer issues thoroughly, analyze situations to identify root causes, and develop appropriate solutions that address customer needs while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Follow up promptly to ensure issues are fully resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
- Prescription Support: Assist customers with prescription transfers, refill requests, medication questions, and insurance processing. You'll work closely with our pharmacy team to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of prescription orders.
- Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of arenaflex's product catalog, services, and policies. Use this expertise to educate customers, recommend appropriate products, and provide accurate information about dosages, interactions, and storage requirements.
- Documentation & Accuracy: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all customer interactions in our systems. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and company privacy policies while handling sensitive customer information.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance customer experience, suggest process improvements, and contribute to team knowledge sharing. Your insights help us constantly improve our service delivery.
- Safety & Compliance Adherence: Follow all established protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Maintain awareness of pharmacy regulations and ensure all customer interactions meet the highest standards of care and compliance.
What You'll Need: Skills & Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Customer Experience Background: Minimum of 1-2 years working in a customer-focused environment. Previous experience in pharmacy, healthcare, retail, or call center settings is highly valued, but we'll consider candidates with diverse backgrounds who demonstrate the right attitude and aptitude.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: You must possess strong verbal and written communication abilities, including active listening, clear articulation, and professional writing skills. You should be comfortable explaining complex information in simple, understandable terms.
- Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving: The ability to analyze situations quickly, think on your feet, and develop effective solutions is crucial. We're looking for natural problem-solvers who don't just wait for instructions but actively work to resolve issues.
- Multi-Tasking Excellence: Ability to handle multiple customer interactions simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality. You should be comfortable navigating between different systems and platforms while keeping track of important customer information.

- Residency Requirement: Must be a resident of Kentucky and reside within 90 miles of Louisville, Kentucky. All work must be performed within the state of Kentucky. This is a permanent remote position, but proximity to our service area is required for compliance and licensing purposes.
- Background Check & Licensing: Must be able to pass a background check required for Kentucky Pharmacy Technician licensing. Any applicable state certifications or licenses must be maintained throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting, particularly with prescription processing or customer service in a retail pharmacy environment.
- Familiarity with pharmacy management systems, customer relationship management (CRM) software, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of pet health topics, common pet medications, and pet wellness products.
- Experience working in a remote or work-from-home environment.
- Knowledge of insurance processing and prescription billing procedures.
- Bilingual capabilities (particularly Spanish) – always a plus when serving our diverse customer base.
