The Opportunity: Remote Packaging Strategy Lead - Data & Brand Analytics
A career with arenaflex Packaging is an opportunity to help develop packaging for our beloved owned brands, exclusive partnerships, and travel packaging. Your influence will drive sales and grow brand love through packaging that is guest-driven, on-brand, competitively priced at shelf, and category-relevant.
In this role, you'll leverage both internal and external partnerships, collaborating on research and analysis to support packaging optimization, establishing best practices for scale, and championing sustainability initiatives. As part of a global team, you'll have the opportunity to work with arenaflex offices, product partners, and packaging suppliers spanning the US, China, India, and additional global locations. This position will support and impact all areas of our Owned Brand business.

What You'll Do
As our Remote Packaging Strategy Lead - Data & Brand Analytics Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of transforming how we approach packaging data, sustainability, and brand consistency. Here's what your journey will look like:
- Build Essential Data Requirements: Develop foundational knowledge requirements, taxonomy structures, and brand-specific logic to support packaging design optimization and sustainability efforts across all Owned Brand categories.
- Establish Data Standards: Collaborate with relevant sourcing, design, store operations, marketing, supply chain, properties, and compliance program owners to establish relevant data requirements and flexible guidelines that consistently reflect our commitment to safety, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and performance.
- Manage Documentation Portfolios: Create and administer change processes to ensure accurate packaging document management across multiple systems and partner teams.
- Develop Training Programs: Create, manage, and execute innovative training and creative assets on an ongoing basis for internal and external audiences to drive comprehensive understanding of standards, specifications, and data accuracy best practices.
- Optimize Solutions: Evaluate data requirements, standards, and specifications to optimize safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions that align with industry standards, improve quality engineering practices, are consistent with risk tolerance expectations, and maintain a pioneer position in the industry.
- Provide Expert Guidance: Offer support and guidance to cross-functional teams and colleagues to ensure proper interpretation and enactment of packaging data requirements, standards, and specifications.
- Ensure Compliance: Consult with appropriate internal legal and regulatory informed authorities, identifying effects on current data requirements and standards, taking action to mitigate risks and identify opportunities for best-in-class compliance.
- Drive Global Collaboration: Work with cross-functional global partners to drive effective communication and roadshows around stated objective development, compliance, and data accuracy best practice requirements and expectations.
- Analyze Trends: Use data to identify trends or issues, in partnership with technology teams, to measure effectiveness of training delivered and communications sent.
- Industry Research: Investigate industry trends and assess arenaflex's comparative data and standards practices, sharing insights and recommendations with appropriate audiences for improvement and compliance.
- Lead and Mentor: Provide leadership and guidance to others, driving effectiveness and efficiency in team results. Create and maintain a positive team culture by demonstrating behaviors consistent with arenaflex's values of Inclusivity, Connection, and Drive; ensure ongoing, effective communications to the team, and support individualized development by offering regular performance feedback, coaching, recognition, and evaluation.
- Additional Responsibilities: As assigned, tackle new challenges and projects that contribute to our overall packaging strategy and business success.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience: 4+ years of experience developing and managing documentation and standards projects, preferably including packaging design and development
- Leadership Skills: Ability to influence without authority, manage projects, facilitate groups, resolve conflict, build consensus, establish rapport, and collaborate effectively, within and remotely, across all levels of an organization
- Technical Writing: Experience with documentation best practices, technical writing, and reporting
- Training Development: Skilled at developing and advising on content, structure, and delivery of effective training programs, roadshows, and communications
- Team Leadership: Experience leading teams and/or projects, driving collaboration, empowerment, and teamwork
- Analytical Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, creative thinking, and analytical abilities
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Adaptability: Flexibility and resilience; comfortable working in ambiguous and constantly changing environments
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Collaboration: Ability to work, communicate, and lead in a highly collaborative environment
- Technology Proficiency: Strong capability in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), and visualization applications
