What You'll Do as a Customer Advocate Phone Specialist
As a vital member of our customer service team, you'll be the first point of contact for members seeking assistance with their health insurance needs. Your role is multifaceted, challenging, and incredibly rewarding. Here's what you can expect:
- Customer Care Excellence: Handle incoming phone calls and written correspondence from members with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency. You'll identify, research, process, and resolve inquiries while providing exceptional service at every interaction.
- Member Advocacy: Serve as a knowledgeable advocate by explaining complex insurance information, including contract benefits, coverage changes, eligibility requirements, claims processing, provider networks, and arenaflex programs.
- High-Volume Support: Manage a diverse and fast-paced environment, typically answering 40+ calls per day while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Documentation & Accuracy: Meticulously document and record all member interactions, updating files and systems to ensure comprehensive and accurate member records.
- Compliance & Privacy: Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations, ensuring member information is protected at all times.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current on arenaflex systems, procedures, forms, and industry changes through ongoing training and development.
- Performance Excellence: Meet or exceed quality, quantity, and timeliness standards to achieve individual and team performance goals.
Compensation & Schedule
We value our team members and believe in rewarding excellence. Here's what you can expect:
- Competitive Starting Pay: Our hourly rate starts at $18.00, with ample opportunities to earn more through performance and quality-based incentives and bonuses.
- Bilingual Premium: If you're fluent in Spanish, you'll earn an additional $1 per hour premium—a recognition of the vital multilingual support our community needs.
- Annual Bonus Opportunity: Earn up to 12% annual bonus based on corporate goals and your individual performance.
- Sign-On Bonus: We're offering a $1,000 onboarding bonus ($500 at 3 months and $500 at 6 months) to welcome you to the arenaflex family!
- Work Schedule: Shifts are Monday through Friday, between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, giving you evenings and weekends free.
- Comprehensive Training: Enjoy 9+ weeks of instructor-led, paid virtual training to set you up for success.

What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent (required)
- At least 1 year of external customer service experience
- Intermediate proficiency with office equipment, including copiers, fax machines, scanners, and telephones
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy
- Strong ability to navigate multiple computer systems and software programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be a resident of Arizona
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in healthcare or insurance industry
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
