Note Before Applying: We invite anyone who is based in the US or UK and is interested in this role to apply. We will assess applications primarily based on anonymized initial question answers, so please ensure they represent your fit for the position well. We will advance candidates to the next stages based on their quality of responses during our hiring process, putting only minimal weight on CVs and references.
Please do not include a cover letter, photograph, or headshot of yourself, or any personal information that is not relevant to the role for which you’re applying (including marital status, age, identity traits, etc.).
Additionally, please do not ask our staff members involved in the hiring process to meet with you – to ensure fairness, we try to minimize these interactions, and requests for meetings with the hiring committee members during the process will be declined.
About the Position and/or Team and/or Department
This role is fully remote and open to candidates in the US and/or UK only who have a valid work authorization in one of these locations, and is fully remote. The annual salary for this position is $55,000 USD, or the equivalent in GBP, pre-tax, prorated to the hours worked.
We are currently seeking an Operations Associate to assist with various administrative tasks and coordinate logistics for in-person and virtual events. We expect that the day-to-day work of this staff member will be split between different teams within the Operations Department, likely 70% People and Culture tasks, 15% Finance tasks, and 15% General Operations tasks, although these percentages may fluctuate, especially during the first three months.
Due to the particular nature of the work required by the People and Culture Team, this role is likely best suited for an extrovert or ambivert. Introverts are absolutely welcome to apply, but may find this role challenging.
We think this role would be ideal for someone who enjoys steady work and finds fulfillment in consistency and providing behind-the-scenes support that helps others do their best work. If you thrive in a collaborative, values-driven team that appreciates thoroughness, dependability and a thoughtful approach to even the most routine tasks, this position could be a wonderful fit!
