About the Role
It takes deeply committed, exceptionally talented individuals to maintain and exceed the elevated standards that define arenaflex. Our Cloud Innovations Application Platform (AP) team is searching for an outstanding AI specialist to join our dynamic team. You will help design and execute our AI strategy to take our developer experience platform to the next level and help accelerate application development within arenaflex. We collaborate and work with cross-functional teams, applying algorithms to large-scale data to solve complex problems and drive meaningful outcomes.
The Application Platform team provides frameworks, services, and developer tools to internal engineering teams at arenaflex to accelerate their Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). We are working on a Generative AI-based developer experience platform for internal use to support our application development teams. As a Data Scientist in this role, you will collaborate with AI engineers, programmers, and other data scientists to deliver and implement end-to-end AI-enabled solutions for this platform.
Key Responsibilities
- AI Strategy Development: Help design and implement arenaflex's AI strategy to elevate our developer experience platform to new heights
- Machine Learning Model Development: Build, train, and deploy machine learning models using cutting-edge algorithms and deep learning techniques
- Data Analysis & Processing: Analyze large-scale datasets, ensuring data quality through examination, modeling, handling missing values, and detecting anomalies
- Model Performance Evaluation: Evaluate model performance, validate results, and interpret outcomes to provide actionable recommendations
- Algorithm Selection & Optimization: Select appropriate ML algorithms, train models, and fine-tune hyperparameters to achieve optimal predictive performance
- Foundation Model Implementation: Experience with training models or using foundation models with the ability to retrain or fine-tune to meet custom needs
- Transformer Architecture Expertise: Apply strong understanding of transformer architecture, vector embeddings, and implement models to solve various business challenges
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with AI engineers, software developers, and other data scientists in multi-functional teams
- Technical Communication: Present experimental results in a clear and meaningful way; translate complex AI model capabilities into digestible information for non-technical audiences
- Developer Productivity Enhancement: Apply ML techniques to enhance developer productivity and streamline application development processes
Essential Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Professional Experience: 2+ years of overall experience in the software industry with a focus on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
- Programming Proficiency: Highly skilled in quantitative programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL with distributed stores like S3, Flash, and Vector Database
- ML Algorithm Knowledge: Strong understanding and experience with cutting-edge Machine Learning (ML) algorithms, deep learning, statistics, and large language models (LLMs)
- Model Deployment: Experience with model deployment for experimentation in production environments
- Data Quality Management: Strong track record of ensuring data quality through rigorous analysis and modeling practices
- Technical Communication: Ability to present complex technical findings in clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Data Science, Computer Science, or related technical field
- Experience applying ML techniques specifically in developer productivity or software engineering domains
- Familiarity with cloud-based ML platforms and MLOps practices
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps principles
- Experience with API development and integration
- Strong background in natural language processing (NLP) and generative AI technologies
