We are currently seeking a talented and motivated IT Business Analyst to join our Infrastructure team in Atlanta, GA. Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to provide expert IT administration, project management, and operational support for our critical infrastructure that supports our airport communication spaces. This role is fundamental to maintaining the functional sustainability of our data center operations, remote communication rooms, and laboratory environments. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
As a member of our IT Offices Group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our infrastructure remains robust, efficient, and aligned with industry best practices. Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities as an IT Business Analyst will encompass a wide range of technical and administrative functions designed to maintain and enhance our critical infrastructure. Here's what you can expect in this role:
- Infrastructure Administration: Manage all site implementations, inventories, and infrastructure planning for our data center critical infrastructure, IT certificate labs, and remote communication room environmental equipment. You will develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies alongside break/fix services to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Laboratory Support: Provide comprehensive IT support for our laboratories, ensuring that our client application and engineering teams have access to properly configured workstations, hardware, and testing environments. This includes maintaining equipment functionality and facilitating seamless access for development and quality assurance activities.
- Remote Coordination: Collaborate with professional services providers responsible for critical infrastructure support and break-fix activities at remote communication sites. You will coordinate efforts remotely while ensuring adherence to our rigorous standards and service level agreements.
- Facility Management: Oversee the management, operation, maintenance, and monitoring of all critical facilities infrastructure for data centers and remote communication rooms. This includes implementing robust monitoring protocols and responding proactively to potential issues before they impact operations.
- Standards Development: Establish and maintain data center and remote communication room standards for space, power, cooling, and physical layer IT infrastructure. Your expertise will shape how we design, implement, and optimize our facilities for maximum efficiency and reliability.
- Network Infrastructure: Support our IT Offices ground fiber ring to maintain the integrity and service continuity of our Atlanta airport and campus facility underground fiber ring infrastructure.
- Policy and Compliance: Recommend and implement departmental policies, guidelines, standards, and procedures while ensuring compliance with all governing corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
- Capital Project Management: Lead data center and remote communication room standards capital improvements, upgrades, and enhancement projects from inception through completion, ensuring they meet technical specifications and budget requirements.
- Vendor Management: Select IT and critical facilities services while ensuring accurate documentation, competitive pricing, and vendor contract compliance. You will be responsible for maintaining vendor relationships and ensuring they meet their contractual obligations.
- Electrical and Environmental Systems: Manage the design, implementation, and vendor support of electrical power, HVAC, fire suppression, security, floor maintenance, and cabling programs for communication rooms.
- Incident Management: Provide proactive and break-fix support for alarm and ticket remediation related to facilities, remote communication rooms, labs, and data center equipment.
- Capacity Planning: Oversee space, UPS power, and critical cooling capacity management to ensure optimal performance and scalability of our infrastructure.
- Design Guidelines: Develop design guidelines for remote communication room space, UPS, air conditioning, generators, and Fire Life and Safety (FLS) systems.
- Documentation and Reporting: Review and store support records, ensuring that inconsistencies are identified and remediated promptly.
- Change Management: Maintain strict adherence to change control activities and ensure all modifications are properly documented and authorized.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must possess a combination of technical knowledge, project management skills, and interpersonal abilities. The following qualifications are required:
- Educational Background: High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency is required. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but equivalent experience will be considered.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with supervisory teams, vendors, and peers.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of data center technology and critical facilities infrastructure, including power systems, cooling solutions, and network infrastructure.
- Project Management: Proven experience in project management of remote communication room standards capital enhancements, upgrades, and improvements.
- Financial Planning: Experience with capital forecasting and project management for airport critical equipment lifecycle replacement.
- Infrastructure Support: Ability to support corporate real estate projects involving remote communication room design and function, including acting as an IT Offices representative and conducting on-site assessment reporting.
- Vendor Selection: Skills in selecting critical facilities services with the ability to ensure accurate documentation, obtain competitive pricing, and verify vendor contract compliance.
- Operational Support: Capability to provide proactive and responsive support for alarm and ticket remediation across facilities, remote communication rooms, laboratories, and data center equipment.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement improvements to infrastructure operations.
- Time Management: Ability to balance multiple priorities within established time constraints while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Flexibility: Willingness to support operations with varying shifts, extended hours, and emergency response requirements as needed.
- Safety Commitment: Demonstrated commitment to prioritizing the safety and security of self, others, and sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications
While the following qualifications are not required, they will give you a competitive edge in the selection process:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, OR five or more years of relevant professional experience in IT infrastructure management.
- Trade School Graduate with a focus on electrical, HVAC, or communications technology.
- Minimum two years of IT Project Management experience within a high-availability communication room and/or data center operating environment, including daily operational requirements and production systems and equipment management.
- Certifications in data center infrastructure management, project management (PMP, CAPM), or facility management (FMC, CEM).
- Experience with industry standards such as TIA-942, BICSI, or Uptime Institute Tier certifications.
