Position Overview
We're looking for a strategic and visionary Head of Data Science and Analysis, Product to lead our数据分析 and insights team. What You'll Do
As the Head of Data Science and Analysis at arenaflex, you'll lead a high-performing team and scale our analytics capabilities to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving digital landscape. Your work will directly impact how millions of customers interact with our products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing data science and analysis team. Define team goals and objectives aligned with the company's overall strategic direction. Identify, recruit, and develop top-tier analytical talent.
- Strategic Planning: Shape product and technology roadmaps through data-driven insights. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of product features, marketing campaigns, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Data Analysis & Insights: Use advanced analytical techniques to extract meaningful insights from vast datasets. Identify opportunities for product improvements and efficiency gains through data analysis, experimentation, automation, and technology enhancements.
- Experimentation Culture: Drive a culture of experimentation across the organization. Establish statistical methodologies, define success metrics, and lead A/B testing initiatives to validate product decisions.
- Executive Collaboration: Engage with C-level executives and board members, presenting strategic insights and influencing key business decisions. Translate complex scientific findings into clear, actionable business recommendations.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure data-driven decision-making across all business functions.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a candidate who loves diving deep into data, possesses exceptional analytical skills, and excels at communicating complex findings to diverse audiences. You should be comfortable operating in a high-visibility role with significant executive engagement.
Essential Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience leading product and customer analysis, experimentation, and insights within top-tier global technology companies, preferably in e-commerce
- 5+ years of experience in leadership roles, building and managing data science and analysis teams
- Demonstrated track record of delivering successful insights, driving business results, and continuous product innovation through data-driven strategies and experimentation
- Strong proficiency in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization tools (Python, R/SAS, SQL, Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience working cross-functionally with teams including Product, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and Finance
- Prior C-level/Executive Board exposure with experience contributing to and leading depth discussions with executive stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex analytical findings into meaningful business implications in a clear and concise manner
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related quantitative field
- Experience in scaling analytics teams from startup phase to enterprise-level operations
- Deep knowledge of machine learning methodologies and their application to business problems
- Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Background in retail, e-commerce, or consumer goods analytics
- Published thought leadership or speaking engagements in the field of data science and analytics
