Under general supervision, performs a variety of complex accounting-clerical duties in support of the Office of Title I and the Office of Community Schools.. Maintains accounting, budgetary, and fiscal records. Processes financial transactions. Assists in the development of proposed budgets for allocations from Title I, School Improvement, Concentration of Poverty (CoP) grants, and other federal and state grants. Monitors expenditures to ensure compliance. Generates and reviews reports. Provides advice and guidance regarding Title I & CoP grants. Performs other duties as assigned.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Coordinates with school and central office staff to correct or acquire documentation.
Meets with accountants to verify the accuracy of formulas, rates of pay, salary projections, and cost estimates in Budget Proposal Forms.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The work of this class is generally sedentary, performed in an office environment, and requires the use of coordination and skill in the operation of computers and other office equipment.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Retirement: Eligible for the Maryland State Retirement System.
Salary: $24.13 - $ 42.19/hour depending on experience, based on grade 05, ESPBC (Education Support Professionals of Baltimore County) pay scale, effective January 1, 2026.
