Position Overview
We are currently seeking a talented and motivated External Support Engineer to join our Tools and Workflows team at arenaflex. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for external content creation teams who utilize the tools developed by our internal engineering team. You will be responsible for providing top-tier technical support, creating comprehensive documentation and training materials, and acting as a liaison between content teams and our development engineers.
This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. You will need to understand our tools inside and out, anticipate user needs, and continuously advocate for improvements that will enhance the user experience. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive results.
Key Responsibilities
As an External Support Engineer at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities that are essential to the success of our content creation ecosystem. Your daily activities will include:
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide expert technical support to external content teams regarding the use of our content creation tools. This includes diagnosing and resolving issues, debugging problems with tools and workflows, and ensuring minimal downtime for our users. You will be the first line of defense when content teams encounter difficulties, and your ability to quickly identify root causes and implement solutions will be crucial to maintaining productivity.
- Documentation and Training: Create high-quality reference materials, user guides, and knowledge base articles that help external teams get up to speed with our toolset. You will also develop and deliver training sessions, webinars, and workshops to ensure that users can leverage the full capabilities of our tools. Your documentation will be clear, concise, and accessible, empowering users to solve problems independently.
- Issue Escalation and Management: For more complex or problematic issues that cannot be resolved at the support level, you will escalate them to the tool development team and work closely with production to track these issues in JIRA. You will ensure that all escalated issues are properly documented, prioritized, and communicated to stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Advocacy and Feedback Loop: Act as an advocate for our external content teams by collecting and forwarding their feedback, suggestions, and requests for tool improvements. You will work closely with the tools engineering team to communicate user needs and help prioritize feature development that enhances the overall user experience.
- Process Improvement and Collaboration: Partner with other engineers to develop tools, processes, and workflows that improve efficiency and quality. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of our support processes, identify opportunities for automation, and help implement best practices across the organization.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Guide and lead cross-disciplinary dialogues to drive features from initial concept to completion. You will work with product managers, designers, developers, and content creators to ensure that new features meet user needs and are delivered with high quality.

Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and competencies:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. Equivalent work experience will also be considered for candidates who demonstrate equivalent technical proficiency and expertise.
- Programming Knowledge: The ability to read and understand C# code is essential for this role. While you may not be writing production code daily, you must be comfortable navigating codebases, understanding logic flows, and communicating effectively with developers.
- Technical Experience: At least five years of experience delivering production-level code in a professional environment is required. Additionally, experience supporting a live service or tool environment is highly preferred, as this role involves working with users in a production setting.
- Unity 3D Expertise: Hands-on experience with Unity 3D game and tool development is required. This experience will help you understand the challenges faced by content creators and provide more effective support.
- Mobile Development: Familiarity with iOS and Android mobile development is preferred, as our tools may be used across multiple platforms.
- Tool Proficiency: Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other defect tracking and documentation software is required. You will be expected to create tickets, track issues, and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Compensation and Benefits
