As a Ticket/Gate Agent with arenaflex, you'll be the first face our passengers see, the voice that guides them through their journey, and the smiling professional who ensures their travel experience begins on the right note.

At arenaflex, we understand that air travel can be stressful for many passengers. That's why we need dedicated individuals like you who are committed to turning every interaction into a positive experience. Whether it's helping a nervous first-time flyer navigate the check-in process, assisting a family with luggage and boarding, or ensuring that unaccompanied minors reach their destinations safely, your role is pivotal in creating seamless travel experiences.

About arenaflex

We take pride in our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and creating an environment where every team member can thrive. Our business resource groups connect employees with shared interests, promoting perspective and inclusion across all levels of the organization. At arenaflex, you'll find colleagues who support each other and work together to achieve excellence in customer service.

What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Ticket/Gate Agent at arenaflex, you'll play a multifaceted role that combines customer service excellence with operational efficiency. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Passenger Check-In Excellence: You'll own the entire check-in process, from greeting passengers at the counter to ensuring all documentation is in order. This includes verifying travel documents, issuing boarding passes, and addressing any seat assignment requests or changes.
  • Baggage Handling: You'll tag passengers' luggage and properly load baggage onto scales and conveyor belts. Be prepared to handle bags weighing up to 70 pounds – our team members maintain physical fitness to safely manage this aspect of the job.
  • Gate Operations Management: Manage the boarding process with precision, including making clear gate announcements, coordinating with the flight crew, and ensuring passengers board in the correct order based on their seating and special requirements.
  • Loading Bridge Operations: Work directly with loading bridges to safely connect aircraft to the terminal, ensuring smooth boarding and deplaning processes.
  • Aircraft Door Operations: You'll be responsible for safely opening, closing, and securing aircraft doors before departure and after arrival – a critical responsibility that requires attention to detail and strict adherence to safety protocols.
  • Special Passenger Assistance: Escort unaccompanied minors through the airport, ensuring they reach their gates safely and are properly handed off to flight crew. Also provide compassionate assistance to passengers with disabilities throughout their airport journey.
  • Seat Availability Management: Handle seat assignments, manage waitlists, and address any seating concerns or changes that arise during the boarding process.
  • Travel Documentation Verification: Ensure all passengers have the correct travel documentation, including passports, visas, and any required health certificates.

Scheduling and Work Environment

We understand that flexibility is key in the aviation industry. Your schedule will be based on operational needs, with shifts that can range from early morning starts to overnight assignments. As a full-time team member, you'll work between 20 and 40 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours as you build seniority within the organization.

This is an entry-level position with significant growth potential. Our leadership team is committed to providing mentorship and development opportunities to help you advance your career within arenaflex.
