What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities
As a Technical Data Operations Specialist at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for managing critical data systems that support our global logistics network. Your work will directly impact our ability to deliver excellence to millions of customers worldwide. Here's what you can expect:
Data Management & Operations
- Execute end-to-end data processing and management tasks across cloud-based platforms
- Maintain data integrity and accuracy in our relational database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Monitor and optimize data pipelines to ensure seamless information flow between systems
- Perform regular data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance checks
- Generate reports and dashboards to support operational decision-making
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
Technical System Support
- Work with cloud infrastructure platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Support backend development initiatives using Java or Spring Boot frameworks
- Assist with containerized deployment systems, including Kubernetes and similar technologies
- Collaborate on frontend development projects using React or Angular
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance
- Participate in near real-time, high-volume data streaming scenarios
Team Collaboration & Agile Processes
- Work effectively within cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
- Contribute to user story development and acceptance criteria planning
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Collaborate with technical leads on project planning and execution
- Share knowledge and mentor team members on best practices
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders across different departments
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement

What We're Looking For: Qualifications & Skills
Essential Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field. Equivalent formal education or relevant work experience will also be considered.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of qualifying work experience in Information Technology or an engineering environment. An advanced degree may offset some experience requirements.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience building and managing end-to-end solutions on cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, or AWS)
- Database Skills: Strong understanding of database concepts with proficiency in writing SQL for relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL)
- Backend Development: Experience with backend improvement using Java or Spring Boot
- Agile Collaboration: Comfort working with cross-functional teams in Agile environments, including user story development and acceptance criteria
- Problem-Solving: Willingness to research, explore new technologies, and develop solutions through systematic troubleshooting
- Remote Work Skills: Self-motivated, disciplined, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or comparable containerized deployment systems
- Frontend development experience using React or Angular, with adherence to creative design specifications
- Experience with supply management tools such as Git and Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Understanding of and demonstrated experience in building CI/CD pipelines
- Experience developing and operationalizing solutions for near real-time, high-volume streaming situations
- Strong coding skills with the ability to work at the code level and debug complex problems
- Experience as a technical lead for a group or project
- Experience with Power Platform tools (PowerBI, Power Apps) is a plus
