What You'll Do
As a Recruiting Data Analyst at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in bridging the gap between data and decision-making. Your work will directly influence how we understand hiring trends, optimize our recruitment processes, and design systems that serve both candidates and hiring managers effectively.
- Product-Centric Data Approach: Apply a product-centric approach to data and reporting, ensuring discoverability through user-excellent documentation and trustworthiness with rigorous data validation and testing procedures.
- Data Model Design: Design, build, and maintain robust data models to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility for analysis across the organization.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, analyze, and present data from various systems while providing context and identifying patterns that might not be immediately apparent to stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate data assessment findings to non-technical audiences who may not be familiar with the domain, translating complex analyses into actionable recommendations.
- System Optimization: Recognize patterns to define gaps within our applicant tracking system and drive change at a system level by collaborating with responsible parties including end users, system administrators, and engineering teams.
- Integration Excellence: Ensure seamless integration with downstream systems and accurate reporting to stakeholders, maintaining data integrity throughout the entire reporting pipeline.
- Tool Development: Contribute to the growth of our in-house data tools, working directly with engineering organizations to make system upgrades that help the organization better serve its customers.
- KPIs and Reporting: Create reporting models that examine key performance indicators, providing leadership with the insights needed to make strategic decisions about our talent acquisition efforts.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for a candidate who combines technical proficiency with business acumen and a passion for continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a unique blend of analytical skills, HR domain knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively across functional boundaries.
Essential Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Human Resources, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- Domain Experience: Previous experience working with People or Recruiting organizations, or in-depth knowledge of full-cycle recruiting processes and terminology.
- Technical Proficiency: Prior relational database experience with strong proficiency in SQL and other common query languages. You should be comfortable writing complex queries, optimizing for performance, and troubleshooting data issues.
- Data Visualization: Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms. You should be able to create intuitive dashboards that tell compelling stories with data.
- Analytical Mindset: Critical thinking and a principled approach to problem-solving, with the ability to approach ambiguous situations with structure and rigor.
- Documentation Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to create user-friendly documentation that enables stakeholders to self-serve their data needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of CI/CD workflows and automated testing practices
- Experience with ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) data structures and reporting
- Knowledge of Python or R for statistical analysis
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and data integration
- Experience in fast-paced, technology-forward environments
- Understanding of recruiting metrics and KPIs (time-to-fill, quality of hire, source effectiveness, etc.)
