Position Overview
As our Principal Platform Architect, you'll play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of our enterprise platform. You'll be responsible for translating our overarching Product and Technology strategy into actionable technical roadmaps, defining enterprise domains, establishing architectural thresholds and tolerances, and providing technical leadership to our engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
As a key member of our Technology leadership team, you'll be entrusted with responsibilities that span strategic planning, technical design, and team enablement. Here's what you can expect:
- Strategic Technical Leadership: Work collaboratively with customers, business stakeholders, and engineering departments to translate organizational goals into comprehensive system requirements. You'll define product-wide technology strategies that encompass multiple systems and diverse integration points.
- Technical Advisory Services: Provide expert guidance on design, development, and DevOps practices for implementations involving multiple integrations and software systems. You'll mentor engineering, product, and customer-facing teams on best practices and technical excellence.
- Documentation & Planning: Draft comprehensive technical engineering plans, detailed technical designs, and systems integration-related documentation and deliverables that serve as blueprints for our development teams.
- Project Estimation: Facilitate accurate estimation of time frames, quality standards, and resource requirements needed to successfully implement technical initiatives. You'll help ensure our projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Product Collaboration: Work closely with the Product team to continuously relay feedback for improvement on platform capabilities and functions, ensuring sustained customer success and satisfaction.
- Business Development Support: Qualify, scope, and champion new technical initiatives for expansion and upsells for existing customers, identifying opportunities to grow our business through innovative solutions.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all solutions adhere to architectural design standards and technology strategy, maintaining consistency and quality across our entire technology ecosystem.
- Team Enablement: Educate, train, and provide guidance on best practices and standards to the engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stakeholder Communication: Articulate technical issues and engineering solution strategies to stakeholders, executives, and other technical professionals in ways that drive understanding and decision-making.
- Vendor Management: Review concepts from carriers and providers to ensure the lowest total cost of ownership while maintaining quality and performance standards.
Essential Qualifications
We're looking for a candidate who brings a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership abilities, and healthcare industry knowledge. To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees are preferred but not mandatory.
- Industry Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of successful technical solutions design and architecture experience. Experience working in an Agile engineering environment with the ability to lead SCRUM rituals is essential.
- Healthcare Background: Prior experience in the healthcare industry is strongly preferred. Understanding of healthcare data standards, regulations, and workflows will be highly valued.
- Technical Stack Proficiency: Deep expertise in Microsoft operating systems, cloud, and application ecosystems, including Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS, and Snowflake. Familiarity with Microsoft development tools such as .Net, C#, Visual Studio, and Azure DevOps is required.
- Data Analytics Skills: Power BI proficiency is required. You'll be expected to design and implement data visualization solutions that drive business insights.
