**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Scientist to join our team, focusing on AI and predictive modeling for our streaming services. As a key member of our Information Science team, you'll work closely with data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy AI models that drive business growth and customer engagement. Your expertise in machine learning, data analysis, and programming will be instrumental in helping us make data-driven decisions and stay ahead of the competition.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Support the streaming business with AI and predictive modeling focused on understanding and forecasting subscriber behavior, including churn, upgrade/downgrade, cost responsiveness, customer segmentation, survival analysis, A/B testing, and causal inference.
* Develop and implement innovative AI strategies to address key business questions while identifying new areas to explore.
* Drive experimentation to assess the effects of your models and iterate on improvements.
* Collaborate closely with colleagues across the organization to identify and capitalize on opportunities. You'll also work with other data teams to enhance platform capabilities around data modeling, data representation, experimentation, and data governance.
* Present your findings and recommendations to senior leaders, influencing business decisions and driving growth.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AI and data science.
**Essential Capabilities**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience designing, building, and evaluating scalable AI solutions.
* Strong coding experience in one or more programming languages like Python/R, with additional experience in scientific libraries like NumPy, Pandas, or similar libraries.
* Proficiency in analyzing data and building ML models using Python (with ML frameworks like TensorFlow, scikit-learn, etc.).
* Solid foundation in statistical modeling: regression, clustering, time series forecasting, causal inference, and other methods.
* Experience creating interpretable numerical models and solving complex quantitative problems that can be understood by non-technical stakeholders.
* Ability to extract insights and recommendations from data to inform model development and business decisions.
* Willingness to collaborate with other data scientists, data analysts, and key stakeholders.
* Strong understanding of SQL.
**Preferred Capabilities**
* Postgraduate education in a quantitative field.
* Excellent analytical skills, with a high level of proficiency in statistical data analysis.
* Demonstrated ability to choose the right statistical tools given a data analysis problem.
* Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
* Strong relational skills, both technical and non-technical.
* Ability to focus on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
* Experience with data platforms and applications like Databricks, Jupyter, Snowflake, Windstream, GitHub.
* Experience with designing and analyzing A/B testing and other experimentation types.
* Experience thinking critically to interpret market and customer data, ideally about a subscription-based service.
* Experience with distributed data technologies (Hive, Hadoop).
* Experience with NLP and NN models.
