**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Data Entry Specialist to join our Details and Data Gathering team. As a Data Entry Specialist, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of sports data on our various platforms. You'll work closely with our team to identify and resolve data discrepancies, create and maintain data records, and contribute to the development of new data-driven content. This is a part-time position that requires flexibility, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Ensure the accuracy and precision of sports data on our various platforms, including television, digital media, and print.
* Work in individual settings and in teams to deliver high-quality data analysis, clock-and-score, and other measurements and information in real-time.
* Create and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our data-driven content and its role in fueling our digital and television products.
* Conduct regular quality checks on your own work and that of others, maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
* Contribute to the development of new data-driven content, tasks, and initiatives across the newsroom, and support newsroom leaders in coordinating full- and part-time staff.
* Anticipate and resolve potential issues, both short-term and long-term, and communicate effectively with colleagues on these matters.
* Play an active role in collaborating with colleagues to develop or refine production processes.
* Participate in team and division meetings, and seek and respond to feedback on personal performance.
* Stay up-to-date with current office policies and procedures.
**Required Capabilities**
* Working knowledge of sports teams, players, and rules.
* Full-time availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Ability to quickly learn production processes that produce or maintain sports data driving our digital and television products.
* Capacity to achieve a high level of content precision in time-sensitive production circumstances.
* Ability to communicate confidently, both verbally and in writing, to production managers and colleagues about production issues and opportunities, often in the midst of a busy newsroom.
**Preferred Capabilities**
* 1+ years of experience in sports or data analysis, preferably in media.
* Knowledge of how sports data is used in media and for research purposes.
* Working knowledge of arenaflex products and productions.
* Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
* Experience leading or training a team.
* Ability to speak and write Spanish.
* Experience using social media in a business or news context.
**Required Education**
* High school diploma or equivalent.
**Preferred Education**
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
