Position Overview
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Annotation Supervisor to lead our team of Data Annotation Specialists in our Nevada operations. This role is pivotal to the success of our neural network training initiatives, as you will oversee the annotation of images, videos, and 3D spatial data that serves as the ground truth for our autonomous driving systems. As a supervisor, you will be responsible for managing medium-sized teams of annotators, ensuring exceptional quality standards, and collaborating closely with engineering teams to deliver results that accelerate our mission of achieving full self-driving capability.

Key Responsibilities
As a Data Annotation Supervisor at arenaflex, you will take ownership of driving team performance and ensuring the highest standards of data accuracy. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Performance Management: Conduct ongoing performance management for your team, including creating comprehensive training plans, tracking individual progress, and delivering monthly analyses and performance reports to leadership.
- Quality Assurance: Evaluate daily performance metrics using our proprietary annotation software and report daily summaries and organizational metrics to ensure consistent quality and throughput.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work directly with engineers and Autopilot leadership to own annotation guidelines that balance technical and operational constraints while meeting project deadlines.
- Process Improvement: Maintain a strong record of task recommendations to effectively communicate labeling requirements, identify inefficiencies, and assist in developing comprehensive documentation and training materials.
- Resource Allocation: Execute proper headcount allocation between Quality Control and labeling teams, and prioritize project queues daily as directed by management.
- Documentation: Ensure all documentation and daily planning for the organization is accurate, organized, and continuously updated to reflect current processes and standards.
- Employee Development: Oversee additional supervisory duties including employee development, conducting bi-annual performance reviews, and holding monthly performance check-ins with Team Leads and Data Annotation Specialists.
- Recognition: Recognize employees on a monthly basis who consistently exceed expectations, fostering a culture of excellence and motivation.
- Mentorship: Mentor direct reports to help them grow professionally and ensure the organization functions as a cohesive, high-performing unit.
- Time Management: Accurately manage timekeeping and attendance through the Kronos system, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate payroll processing.
Essential Qualifications

- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.

Compensation and Benefits
We recognize that our people are our greatest asset, and we are committed to providing competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits. The starting salary for this position ranges from $30 to $40 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
