Position Overview
We are looking for a talented individual to fill the role of Cybersecurity Analyst Intern (Part-Time) based in Dallas, USA. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $25/hour with 8-hour work shifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cybersecurity concepts, excellent analytical skills, and a genuine passion for protecting digital assets from evolving threats.
In this role, you will work closely with our Incident Response Team to identify, mitigate, and recover from cybersecurity incidents. Key Responsibilities
As a Cybersecurity Analyst Intern at arenaflex, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Incident Response Support: Assist the team in responding to security incidents, including identifying the nature and scope of breaches, containing threats, and implementing recovery procedures to restore normal operations.
- Threat Analysis: Collaborate with senior analysts to examine security breaches, analyze attack vectors, and document findings to improve future defenses and prevent recurrence.
- Risk Assessment: Work with business clients to conduct needs analysis related to systems and business processes to develop quality technical solutions that minimize security risks.
- Compliance Alignment: Ensure that all security solutions align with internal tooling, business processes, and adherence to departmental standards and regulatory requirements.
- Project Management: Manage timelines for planning, coding, testing, and implementing solutions to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget constraints.
- Communication: Serve as a resource to ensure effective communication between business units and Technology Teams, translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Testing Participation: Take part in systems testing and acceptance testing to validate the effectiveness of security measures and identify potential vulnerabilities.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of incidents, responses, and improvements to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborative Projects: Engage in team projects that vary in scope depending on current organizational priorities and security needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or currently enrolled in such a program).
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
- Basic knowledge of technical environments and systems architecture.
- Understanding of information security and risk mitigation principles, theories, and methodologies.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple and simultaneous projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
