**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team in Texas. As a key member of our team, you'll provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. **Responsibilities**
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:
* Coordinating and processing new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and revivifying benefits
* Translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
* Communicating and collecting copay amounts
* Obtaining authorizations from insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams
* Screening, identifying, resolving, and deferring orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
* Collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely processing of specialty medications and meet financial and clinical expectations
**Requirements**
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving complex customer needs over the phone
* One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
* One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude
* Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Pre-existing healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
