**Key Responsibilities:**
As an Experienced Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
* Handling a high volume of customer service calls in a prompt and courteous manner, resolving patient questions and problems regarding patient accounts, payments, and services.
* Demonstrating excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with patients, colleagues, and leadership.
* Providing outstanding customer service, deescalating and remaining positive in all situations with difficult customers.
* Taking patient demographics and other patient information as needed.
* Reviewing explanation of benefit (EOB) documentation and notating accounts on collection activity to perform account resolution.
* Reviewing patient bills for accuracy and completeness, and obtaining any missing information.
* Collecting patient payments in accordance with payment due dates and establishing payment plans within approved guidelines.
* Completing and mailing necessary patient statements and return mail in a timely manner.
* Creating an atmosphere of comfort, peace, and making it easy for the patient; the patient is our first business.
* Answering all phone calls within 2 minutes of the call hitting the system.
* Answering and ending all phone calls within the set dialogue parameters established by leadership.
* Answering on average 65 calls a day.
* Attending in-services, seminars, and webinars for additional education and performance improvement.
* Maintaining regular and reliable attendance.
**Essential Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* 1 year experience in customer service and/or call center industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Customer Service Basics or equivalent training preferred.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience working in a healthcare or patient-facing environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Internet navigation.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
