Job Responsibilities As an Experienced Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for: * Completing daily tasks related to check processing, object processing, direct deposits, and budget transfers at arenaflex Credit Union * Coordinating return items with vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions * Assisting other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and associated accounting standard ledger balancing * Working member cases/assignments and following guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws * Processing mortgage payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks * Reviewing, examining, and approving Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products * Logging, reviewing, and making necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns * Processing Stop Pays and Check Batching * Completing daily balancing and department closing * Obtaining information from members for the timely and accurate processing of international and domestic wire transfer requests * Researching and verifying incoming and outgoing wire transfer information * Communicating with vendors to process wire transfers * Understanding and being familiar with outgoing and incoming wire transfer laws * Depositing check returns, reviewing member check returns on draft changes, processing member checks, affirming members for outgoing wire transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing wire transfers * Completing daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, international collections, and legal fees Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: * High school degree or equivalent * Intermediate Excel and Word experience * Ability to work prolonged hours in support of business needs * Excellent customer service skills * Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple responsibilities, and function as an integral part of a team * Ability to perform mathematical calculations and review data * Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines under high volume pressure * Ability to cross-train and perform any position assigned within the department * Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and members * Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision * Ability to self-motivate with strong employer skills and ability for attention to detail * Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: * Previous customer/member service experience * Previous banking or Credit Union experience * Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience * Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) with hands-on experience or education Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess: * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and members * Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and precision * Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines * Strong organizational and time management skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we're committed to helping you grow and develop your skills.
