**Job Summary:**
We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our arenaflex team. As a Chat/CRM Support Specialist, you'll be responsible for providing top-notch customer service to patients, providers, and the organization as a whole. You'll work closely with our team to resolve billing questions, negotiate payment plans, and communicate hospital financial policies to patients. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:
* Performing clerical and customer service functions to service the needs of patients, providers, and the organization
* Researching and responding to patient messages related to billing questions and inquiries in a professional and timely manner
* Negotiating payment plans on patient account balances
* Communicating hospital financial policies to patients and identifying those who may need financial assistance
* Maintaining a thorough understanding of insurance, registration, scheduling, referrals, authorizations, and account follow-up to secure reimbursement of claims
* Working at a computer for eight hours a day, typing while utilizing multiple monitors and computer systems simultaneously
* Adhering to production standards set for the department and client
* Maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in handling medical records in compliance with HIPAA, Federal, State, and Company requirements
* Performing other duties as assigned by your manager
**Qualifications:**
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* A high school diploma or equivalent
* At least two years of experience in healthcare collections, billing, insurance, or customer service
* Two years of experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and other commercial payers (HMO, PPO) is preferred
* CHAA (Certified Healthcare Access Associate), CPAR (Certified Patient Account Representative), and/or CFC (Certified Financial Counselor) certification is preferred
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll need:
* Intermediate to advanced computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent written communication skills
* Good organizational skills with the ability to work independently
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* High attention to detail
* Ability to read and understand a variety of information presented in different formats from a variety of sources
* Working knowledge of health insurance and insurance verification process
* Typing skills with a minimum of 25 wpm

* Call Center experience: 1 year (required)
