**Job Summary**
As a Cargo Agent, you'll be responsible for handling cargo and mail shipments, operating equipment such as tugs, forklifts, and tow tractors, and ensuring that all shipments are delivered on time and in good condition. You'll work closely with our team to provide exceptional customer service, while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Operate floor support equipment, including tugs, forklifts, and tow tractors, to load, unload, and transport cargo and mail to and from planes.
* Work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of our customers.
* Operate in inclement weather conditions, while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency.
* Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational procedures and tactics, while working under time constraints.
* Correctly raise, load, unload, and deliver mail and cargo to and from planes, while ensuring on-time shipments.
* Shield cargo and mail from damage, loss, and climate-related issues.
* Properly drive and operate floor systems, including tugs, forklifts, and tow tractors, in areas of congestion.
* Repeatedly carry and load shipments onto carts, ensuring each shipment reaches its destination.
* Operate scanners and computers to ensure mail and cargo are routed correctly to the destination.
* Practice safety-aware behaviors in all operational approaches and techniques.

**What You Need to Succeed**
To be considered for this role, you'll need to demonstrate the following qualifications and skills:
* High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* Valid driver's license.
* Ability to drive and safely operate a forklift, baggage tug, and tow tractor.
* Proficiency in English.
* Excellent oral and verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand precise job instructions.
* Project a professional image.
* Basic computer skills.
* Ability to correctly complete applicable training instructions.
* Incremental education for additional responsibilities, including managing specialized equipment, techniques, and products, may be required.
* Capacity to regularly carry luggage or objects weighing up to and including 50 pounds.
* Ability to occasionally carry luggage or objects weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
* Willingness to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays, in all weather conditions.
* Ability to work in diverse climates outside and inside the warehouse.
* Pass a post-offer pre-employment drug test.

* Ability to achieve and maintain an airport badge with a customs seal.
* Pass an in-depth post-offer pre-employment background test, including fingerprinting and a criminal records file check required by federal regulation.
* Be legally authorized to work in the US.
* Must wear required agency-authorized personal protective equipment (PPE) to include, but not limited to: hearing protection, safety-toe shoes, protective headwear (bump cap or hard hat), and high-visibility safety apparel.
* Where accredited by applicable law, must have obtained or be willing to obtain the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for a U.S.-based position, if not currently employed by arenaflex.
