What You'll Do
As an Aircraft Fleet Engineer L2 at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in maintaining our fleet's operational excellence. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Operational Awareness: Stay informed of day-to-day airline operations involving your field of responsibility, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of fleet performance and any emerging issues that may impact aircraft availability or safety.
- Priority Assessment: Assess daily priorities in accordance with airline and departmental objectives and management directives, ensuring that critical issues receive immediate attention while balancing multiple competing demands.
- Problem Investigation: Investigate aircraft and component problems that may cause aircraft delays or cancellations, substantial expenditures in manpower or materials, or interruptions in maintenance operations. Determine appropriate corrective actions in a timely and efficient manner to minimize operational disruptions.
- Technical Disposition: Provide engineering support as required for the disposition of discrepant conditions affecting aircraft or components in order to restore serviceable status. Your technical expertise will be crucial in making critical decisions about aircraft airworthiness.
- Departmental Support: Respond to requests from Maintenance and other airline departments when technical assistance is required to support projects or resolve problems, fostering strong working relationships across functional areas.
- Project Development: Develop action plans for fleet, multi-fleet, and component engineering projects, pursuing final dispositions according to assessed priorities. Lead initiatives that improve reliability, reduce costs, and enhance safety.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with other airline departments, as required, to provide for effective and efficient implementation of engineering dispositions. Your communication skills will be essential in ensuring seamless collaboration.
- Documentation: Prepare Engineering documents to implement technical dispositions by providing customized procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance actions which provide benefits in accordance with airline and departmental objectives and management directives.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, particularly those related to the A319/A320/A321 family of aircraft.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with the capacity to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions under pressure.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare clear and concise technical documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- A commitment to safety and compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software applications used in aircraft engineering and maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be advantageous:
Previous experience in airline operations, aircraft maintenance, or fleet engineering.
Familiarity with FAA regulations and industry standards governing aircraft maintenance and operations.

Advanced technical training or certifications specific to Airbus aircraft systems.
