Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Account Manager to join our growing team in Chile. This is a remote, entry-level position that offers tremendous opportunities for professional growth and development in the thriving e-commerce industry. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring, developing, and managing high-value accounts that expand our product selection, enhance pricing competitiveness, and improve customer convenience.
Specifically, you will identify product selection gaps and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies to attract key marketplace players to join our platform. Your efforts will directly contribute to maximizing our product selection and growing our customer base across the United States market.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Intelligence & Analysis: Develop a thorough understanding of the marketplace segment, including seasonality, global developments, and activities. Continuously monitor competitor efforts and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
- Seller Acquisition & Development: Identify, prospect, and recruit high-potential sellers to our platform through direct sales visits, industry events, presentations, and strategic outreach. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified sellers who can expand our product offerings.
- Seller Enablement & Support: Guide sellers through the onboarding process by sharing best practices for online selling, including data-driven insights that help sellers achieve high standards of delivery, customer experience, and business objectives.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to identify and resolve vendor issues, ensuring a seamless experience for our seller partners and maintaining strong relationships.
- Strategic Account Management: Manage and grow existing seller accounts, providing strategic guidance to help them succeed on our platform while meeting our business objectives.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze sales data and market insights to develop strategies that drive seller performance and improve key metrics such as product selection, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth.
Essential Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree is required (business, marketing, economics, or related field preferred).
- Candidates should possess 1 to 3 years of successful business-to-business (B2B) sales experience, preferably in the e-commerce, technology, retail, or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industries.
- Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets using consultative and solutions-focused selling approaches.
- Experience in launching nascent products/services into new markets is strongly preferred.
- Advanced communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate value propositions effectively.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and MS Office programs for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Exceptional commercial judgment with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Advanced analytical abilities and quantitative skills to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
- Comfortable working with complex financial data and performing economic analysis.
- Polished communication skills including speaking, writing, presenting, and negotiating.
- Ability to think and lead in a high-energy, rapid-paced environment.
- Comfortable with "hands-on" management of responsibilities and demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities concurrently.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (both written and verbal) is highly desirable for this role.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of e-commerce experience is a strong plus.
- 3+ years of experience in the consumer electronics sector is advantageous.
- 3+ years of direct sales experience with a proven track record is preferred.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
- Knowledge of marketplace dynamics and seller ecosystem management.
- Experience with CRM tools and salesforce automation platforms.
