Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Benefit Eligible Yes Screening Date 2025-06-27 Job Description Summary Miami University Libraries seeks an Electronic Resources & Discovery Librarian; Assistant Librarian or Associate Librarian (ERDL) who is tech-savvy, and detail-oriented for the Access & Borrow Department (A&B).
The successful candidate will take charge of access and maintenance of the Library’s electronic resources, subscriptions, and discovery service.
Working in a team environment, the ERDL will serve as an active member with other parties (library, university) to manage and trouble-shoot electronic resources and discovery, and participate in ongoing assessment of policies and procedures.
The position carries responsibilities for scholarly activities and professional service for promotion and continuing contract.

Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree from an ALA-accredited Library and Information Science Program; Appointment as Associate Librarian requires an established record of service and scholarship.
Consideration may be given to candidates with a demonstrated understanding, through experience and/or coursework of electronic and continuing resources life cycle activities, troubleshooting, and/or cataloging processes and techniques; Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and complete tasks according to an established timeframe; Demonstrated ability to perform accurate and detail-oriented work, including strong analytical and problem solving skills and use of data to make analysis-driven decisions; Experience with electronic resources, discovery services management, and/or technical services in academic institutions; Experience with Alma and Primo VE, EZ Proxy, Ebsco Holdings Management, and Springshare; Experience working in a library that is a member of a library consortium; Proven communication and interpersonal skills; Commitment to participate in appropriate professional service and conduct research and scholarship.
