Position Overview
Are you ready to unlock the power of data and drive meaningful business outcomes? We are currently seeking a skilled Data Analyst to support our Transportation Examination group. In this role, you'll be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights that empower our operations and logistics teams to make faster, smarter decisions.

What You'll Do
As a Data Analyst at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in supporting our transportation operations through data-driven insights. Here's what you can expect:
- Data Analysis & Exploration: Work with large, complex, and diverse datasets to conduct ad-hoc analyses that inform critical business decisions quickly and accurately.
- ETL Development: Create and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes that pull data from multiple sources and consolidate it into unified tables for analysis and reporting.
- Dashboard Development: Design and develop impactful Tableau dashboards that provide real-time visibility into transportation performance, metrics, and KPIs.
- Business Intelligence: Apply your understanding of business operations to identify root causes of issues and recommend data-driven solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with teammates and cross-functional groups on an ongoing basis to establish credibility and trust. Investigate partner needs and work collaboratively to share relevant insights.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Partner with Operations, Finance, and Product teams to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across various projects and systems.
- Automation & Efficiency: Leverage scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate reporting activities, including screenshot generation, metric prioritization, and anomaly detection.
- Knowledge Sharing: Document your processes and share your expertise with colleagues. Mentor peers as you become a subject matter expert.
- Continuous Learning: Gain deep insights into the business while updating your technical skills through hands-on experience and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills
Essential Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
- SQL Expertise: Strong SQL skills with the ability to manipulate data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity. You should be comfortable writing complex queries, joins, and subqueries.
- Tableau Proficiency: Creativity with a user experience foundation to develop meaningful Tableau dashboards that drive actionable insights.
- Business Acumen: Familiarity with business operations and the ability to understand and diagnose core business issues. A background in supply chain, preferably with transportation experience, is highly desirable.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and present complex data in a clear, understandable manner.
- Technical Aptitude: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced experience with SQL and Tableau, including complex visualizations and dashboard optimization.
- Hands-on experience with e-commerce operations or package carrier logistics.
- Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for automation and data processing.
- Experience with data manipulation tools such as Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of transportation management systems and logistics processes.
- Experience with cloud platforms and big data technologies.
