The Troy Area School District is seeking a Credit Recovery and Online Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Applicants will be able to:
- Serve as the primary contact for the enrollment of online and credit recovery students.
- Identify, monitor, and provide service to students who are taking Troy Online Academy coursework using all available resources.
- Identify, monitor, and provide service to students who are struggling to be successful in online coursework and credit recovery courses.
- Advocate on behalf of students to best meet their unique needs; assist with the design and implementation of strategies to improve student success in online learning coursework.
- Monitor and support students participating in credit recovery courses. Provide academic support, instruction, and support as needed to ensure the academic success of these students.
- Provide daily support, monitoring, and feedback to students to ensure that students can navigate their online learning platform and communicate with their online instructor.
- Serve as a resource to counselors as they advise and enroll students in Troy Online Academy courses.
- Facilitate, tutor, and mentor students working through online, self-paced credit recovery programs.
- Track student engagement, pace, and grades, providing intervention to ensure completion within established timeframes.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and communication.
