The Profile: "The Player-Coach"
We are not looking for a delegator; we need a proactive, high-urgency leader who thrives in the "weeds." You are the right fit if you enjoy building best-in-class processes, have a "Big 4" technical foundation, and possess the grit required for a fast-paced PE environment.
Core Responsibilities
• Financial Stewardship:
Ownership of all financial statements, consolidations, and technical accounting for multiple legal entities across multi-state areas.
• PE Partnership:
Interface directly with Private Equity stakeholders, providing the data and transparency needed for a successful 18-month exit strategy.
• Process Innovation:
Drive efficiencies and cost-savings across the organization; partner with the CTO to implement AI solutions within the accounting workflow.
• Operational Control:
Oversee inventory controls, cost accounting, and intercompany transactions for a complex distribution and manufacturing model.
• Mentorship:
Lead and develop a 15-person team, including a tenured Director of Accounting and a high-performing AP lead.
Required Qualifications
• CPA and Big 4 public accounting experience
• 10–15 years’ total Accounting experience
• 5+ years as a Controller
• Strong background in Manufacturing or Distribution
• PE Background: Direct experience working within a Private Equity portfolio company
• Mastery of consolidations, inventory/distribution accounting, and complex ERP systems
