Installation Made Easy (“IME”) provides software and process management that enable retailers and contractors to offer installed home improvements to homeowners in a convenient, consistent, and affordable manner. IME senior management has over 100 years of retail management and home improvement industry experience.
The Compliance Specialist position will assist contractors with on-boarding requirements and with ensuring that contractors remain in good standing throughout the duration of their relationship with IME. This includes receiving and reviewing onboarding paperwork such as legal and financial documentation and ensuring their continued compliance with IME program requirements.
An ideal candidate for this role will be driven, detailed oriented, and be able to effectively communicate with persons of multiple backgrounds. The candidate must be able to work independently in a remote environment.
Essential Functions:
Collect and input information from contractor applications into IME systems
Review and approve/deny applications based on company policies, including legal and financial documentation
Confirm contractor licenses using proprietary database
Use judgment to escalate licensing issues as necessary to VP-Licensing
If application is denied, determine if other options are available that meet company policies
Set up and maintain contractor profiles in IME systems and track contractor progress throughout vetting and onboarding process
Update product assignments and territory coverage in IME system
Accurately respond to questions on Compliance policies or procedures from other departments including Operations, Call Center and Executive Management
Periodically review Contractors’ bond/letter of credit values in conjunction with store/club assignments and ensure conformity with policy
Proactively notify Contractors of expiring insurance, bonds, or licenses and follow through to resolution
Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years experience with customer service or vendor support
High School diploma or equivalent
Professional demeanor
Sound judgment and strong problem-solving ability
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of an organization
Efficient and detail-oriented
Exceptional organization skills
Ability to adapt to changing or multiple priorities.
