About the position:

Chevron invites applications for the role of Senior Cloud Engineer within our Desktop & Mobility Design team in India. This position has responsibility for the critical platforms, tools, and capabilities that provide on and off-premise Cloud infrastructure services to every Chevron business units and sites. This position will provide broad exposure to the application of technology to enable business with many opportunities for growth and professional development for the candidate.

Key responsibilities:

Leading the design and development of complex web solutions.
• Mentor junior and senior developers and provide guidance on best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) and able to demonstrate high proficiency in programming fundamentals.
• At least 5 years of proven working experience as a Web Developer with a strong portfolio of web applications.
• Skilled in Angular and/or other frameworks (e.g., ASP.NET Razor Pages, React, Vue.js).
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Skilled in consuming RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
• Experience implementing security best practices in web development.
• Skilled in recognizing, applying, and implementing design patterns and best practices for web development to enhance code quality, maintainability, and scalability. (MVC, REST, SOLID principles, DDD, etc.)
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure DevOps.
• Excellent communication and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
