Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper Manager to join our team in a fully remote, long-term capacity. Duties
• Lead and supervise a team of bookkeepers to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions
• Oversee general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections
• Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations regularly to maintain data integrity
• Prepare detailed financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
• Ensure compliance and maintain adherence to governmental accounting requirements when applicable
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Taxdome, and other financial tools to streamline operations
• Perform payroll processing, tax preparation support, and maintain accurate records for auditing purposes
• Support budgeting activities by analyzing financial data and providing insights for fiscal planning
• Conduct internal audits and facilitate external audits by providing necessary documentation
Requirements
• Proven experience managing bookkeeping teams or leading accounting operations in a remote setting
• Strong proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Proconnect, Taxdome, Clickup, and other relevant platforms
• Extensive knowledge of corporate accounting practices, non-profit accounting standards, governmental accounting where applicable, and compliance
• Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles, journal entries, debits & credits, and general ledger management
• Demonstrated ability in bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis
• Experience with financial report writing and preparing detailed financial statements
• Familiarity with payroll processing, tax regulations, accounts payable/receivable management, and budgeting processes
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a remote work environment
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and provide clear financial insights
