Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Bilingual Patient Care Specialist to join our Customer Care Center team. This is a full-time, in-office position with rotating shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service to our patients, healthcare providers, and clients. You will serve as the first point of contact for patients seeking assistance, using your bilingual skills (Spanish/English) to ensure clear, compassionate communication.
This role offers a competitive starting hourly rate of $19.00, with additional bilingual pay available for candidates who pass our bilingual proficiency test. We believe in recognizing and rewarding the unique skills our team members bring to arenaflex.
Key Responsibilities
As a Bilingual Patient Care Specialist at arenaflex, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Patient Communication: Handle inbound and outbound patient phone calls with empathy, professionalism, and efficiency. You will be the voice of arenaflex, providing reassurance and support to patients navigating complex healthcare needs.
- Prescription Management: Conduct prescription refill reminder calls to ensure patients never miss critical medications. Process refill requests and coordinate with pharmacy operations to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
- Patient Consultations: Facilitate patient-to-pharmacist consultations, connecting patients with clinical experts when additional guidance is needed. Act as a bridge to ensure patients receive comprehensive care.
- Problem Resolution: Utilize strong problem-solving skills to address patient concerns, questions, and problems. Evaluate relevant information, provide quick and effective resolutions, and follow up when appropriate to ensure complete satisfaction.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all patient interactions and transactions. Document call exceptions, both positive and negative, and report them to your direct supervisor with proposed corrective actions when necessary.
- Client Support: Monitor and process all orders and requests received via our website and from assigned clients. Communicate and coordinate with appropriate personnel to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Bilingual Communication: Use your Spanish language skills to interact and communicate orally and in writing with healthcare providers, patients, and other stakeholders as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with your direct supervisor to improve customer experience. Participate in team meetings to ensure company service objectives are being met.
- Quality Assurance: Audit your own performance, recommend objectives, and establish standards of excellence. Continuously seek ways to improve your skills and contribute to team success.
Required Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish is essential. You must be able to pass our bilingual proficiency test to qualify for the additional bilingual pay.
- Healthcare Knowledge: Working knowledge of the healthcare industry is required. Familiarity with specialty pharmacy, chronic disease management, or related healthcare fields is highly preferred.
<- HIPAA Compliance: Must be HIPAA trained or have the ability to work with and protect highly confidential patient and employee information with the utmost discretion.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and familiarity with customer relationship management systems such as Salesforce or CPR+.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to exchange accurate information clearly and professionally.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of documentation and patient interaction.

Work Environment and Schedule
This is a full-time, office-based position located at our facility. The work schedule includes rotating shifts to provide coverage during our extended hours of operation:
- Monday through Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Our normal office environment provides a professional, supportive atmosphere where teamwork and patient-focused care are prioritized. You will have access to modern office equipment, including computers, keyboards, monitors, fax machines, and headsets specifically designed for phone work. The role requires remaining in a stationary position for up to 90% of the time, with occasional movement about the office to access files, equipment, and participate in meetings.
