Confie is a company that provides various employee benefits and support programs. They are seeking an Accounting Associate to assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor relations, and month-end closing tasks.
Responsibilities
- Provide support in the areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Deposits, Vendor Relations, Month-end close, Year-end reporting, and other administrative tasks
- Ability to perform all accounting transactions (posting of AP, AR, etc.) in a timely manner
- An understanding of all the needs for and a commitment to maintain confidential accounting information
- Assist in month-end closing duties as assigned
- Post receipts and prepare checks for deposit
- Post and print AP checks
- Scan supporting documents and post vendor invoices into accounting software
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Reconcile store deposits to the agency management system
- Process payments to insurance carriers for policy insurance premiums
- Sort and distribute all incoming mail
- Perform routine accounting and data entry functions for the business as assigned
Skills
- 1 year of accounting experience/Associate Degree
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to meet weekly deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively with others
- A working knowledge of basic office practices and accounting practices
- Ability to perform all accounting transactions (posting of AP, AR, etc.) in a timely manner
- An understanding of all the needs for and a commitment to maintain confidential accounting information
- Assist in month-end closing duties as assigned

- Post and print AP checks
- Scan supporting documents and post vendor invoices into accounting software

- Insurance accounting experience preferred
- Proficient in Excel
- Working knowledge of AMS360, Appone, and Acumatica
